About Us

Andria and I both turned 60 in 2014. Apart from myself doing some wind surfing and crewing on a 26′ Tumlarin in Melbourne Australia about 40 years ago,  we  had no previous sailing experience. About four years ago we learnt to sail in Pittwater Sydney, and shortly after bought a 10% share in a Seawind 1000XL catamaran.  We  loved it and could not get enough time on it so  after 12 months we jumped in the deep end and purchased a new Lagoon 450.   About 12 months later Andria’s employer asked if she would take a position in Washington DC USA. This is where we are now. We sold the Lagoon  450 and purchased a used ST Francis 50 which we love. In the St Francis 50 we have sailed from Fort Lauderdale Florida to Pasadena Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay on the East coast of the USA. Other trips were up to Cape Breton in Nova Scotia Canada in June 2014 and Bermuda in May 2015. We are sailing her back to Sanctuary Cove Queensland Australia. We will take the World Cruising Club Caribbean 1500 Rally down to Tortola in the British Virgin Islands departing Nov 8th 2015 from Portsmouth Virginia. Then we catch the ARC World Rally departing Jan 8th from St Lucia in the Caribbean, through the Panama Canal, then onto Tahiti and finishing in Mackay Queensland. There are lots of stops along the way.
